Last minute decision… Lets go to the WWE event in London and just grab whatever tickets are available.
30 minutes later we were going through the drive thru at Taco Bell so that we would have full bellies and not have to worry about leaving our seats for food.
We arrive at Bud Gardens and head into the box office. Grabbed 3 seats in the upper deck which is not your typical nose bleed upper deck seats. The arena has a capacity of just over 9000 for hockey I believe so you can imagine how great all the seats are in the building.
First Match – The New Day (Kingston & Woods) def. The Wyatt Family (Rowan & Strowman) to retain the WWE tag team titles. Kingston won it with Trouble in Paradise on Rowan. Man, the crowd loved The New Day… there was certainly a lot of horny unicorns in attendance
Match 2 or as we referred to it, Time to go check out the merch available as the lines will be empty. We were right, went and bought some merch came back to learn that Sheamus had def. Sin Cara via the Brogue Kick. Then Sheamus trashed London, Ontario and said it was a part of a “third world” country, asking for actual competition. Out comes Apollo Crews who defeated Sheamus via pin fall.
Third Match – Titus O’Neil & Cesaro def. The Social Outcasts (Axel & Dallas).
Match Five – Darren Young def. The Miz via DQ. Miz retained the Intercontinental Championship. Maryse interfered by holding Young’s legs outside the ring, not allowing him to get back in, and the ref threw the match out.
Match 6- Sami Zayn def. Kevin Owens with the Helluva Kick. Owens did a promo in the middle of the match after throwing Zayn over the top rope, saying that he would be the winner if this was the Royal Rumble. He called London a hole of a town and said the Rumble would never come there. Disapointed that Owens lost as he was one of the main reasons we wanted to go check out the event… Next Time
Time to go for a walk and stretch the legs out… great time for a Beer as well
Match 7 – Charlotte def. Natalya to retain the WWE WOmen’s Championship. Nattie was over huge with the Canadian crowd of course and spent a lot of time ringside shaking hands and photobombing selfies
Match 8 – The Usos def. The Club (Anderson & Gallows) Nothing exciting, happy that The Usos won as I am a fan of them
The Main Event – Dean Ambrose def. AJ Styles & Seth Rollins in a triple threat match to retain the WWE Championship. Rollins and Ambrose did the SHIELD style powerbomb which got a good pop from the crowd. Ambrose pinned Styles after Dirty Deeds.
Quick, run outside and wait by the fence
Luckily enough the boys got a couple autographs from Cesaro and Seth Rollins who both took about 20 minutes to sign for the fans.
My oldest boy is now the Proud owner of a Seth Rollins/Cesaro Signed Money In The Bank Briefcase… Check it out
Can’t wait to attend our next WWE Live Event
